Love, joy and peace filled the air wherever Tiffany and Aaron were! Every time I looked at them, they were fully embracing and enjoying their big day. I started the morning by capturing the lovely details of this spring wedding at the historic Marysville general store and the neighboring Airbnb where Tiffany and her girls stayed. When I walked in, I immediately fell in love with all of the white walls, white accent pieces and all of the natural light from the wall of windows! Talk about a photographer's dream. While I was photographing Tiffany’s details and the rings her two daughters (Pacey and Nora) kept offering to help me with anything I needed. They were so sweet. And Tiffany was a cloud of peace. If she was nervous it didn’t show. But what did show was her beautiful heart and joy.

During set up, we weren’t sure if we were going to be outside or inside for the ceremony. Tiffany and Aaron wanted to be outside, and they decided to go for it, and I am beyond thrilled that they did. It was absolutely gorgeous, and we got through the entire ceremony without one little drop of rain. We even got to take a few family photos before the major storm hit us and pushed us inside. And when I say rain, I don't mean grab your umbrella I mean run inside its coming from all directions and drenched the ground within seconds. It stormed for a good two hours or so. We got flexible and finished family portraits inside the Historic Marysville General Store on the dance floor which was still gorgeous. And after the storm we headed back outside for their husband-and-wife portraits. I wasn’t sure if we were going to get a break from the rain and I am so thankful that we did because this venue was the perfect match to capture Tiffany and Aaron’s love and joy.

One of my favorite details about their wedding is that they didn’t have a traditional wedding cake. They had cheesecake. Two things here; cheesecake is my favorite type of cake but more importantly it is what started this love story in the first place. Tiffany and Aaron met as friends on Instagram, and it was a post that Tiffany made about cheesecake that got Aaron to message her. They hit it off right away and within 6 or so months Aaron moved from North Dakota to Montana to be with Tiffany. How sweet is that story? After a little over a year Aaron proposed to Tiffany on April 1st, 2023! Aaron, I don't know that April fools is the best day for something so serious, but you knew what you were doing and look at you two now!

After their ceremony I wanted to take advantage of the dry weather we were still having so I told a little bird that I needed all of the ceremony chairs moved and in a hurry. Within 5 minutes their guests had the space cleared and ready to go. Talk about top notch service. I am always so thankful for how eager and willing guests are to help. Not only did their kindness and fast work allow us to get some really dreamy shots of Tiffany with Pacey and Nora but it was ready for us when the storm ended, and we went back out for their husband-and-wife portraits.

Tiffany mentioned in a Facebook comment, on her sneak peek, how all 4 of her children were in one of the pictures. It took me a second to catch up but when I did it just melted my heart. Tiffany’s first born is no longer with us and rests in heaven but she has his footprints tattooed on her arm. In this photo where she was twirling the girls and you can clearly see this tattoo, her precious baby bump and of course Pacey and Nora. I can only imagine how significant and meaningful this is to her. For me it is incredibly beautiful and such a show of how strong Tiffany is and how gracious God is. To capture all of that love, pain, grief, loss, life, joy and peace in one picture is more than words.

Tiffany and Aaron,

We may have had a few bumps along the road but you both kept such grace and joy about you the entire day and made yourselves flexible to make everything work out. I am so honored to have been able to be a part of that with you. I thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality. You created such a beautiful day. Your ceremony was a perfect display of two people coming together before God to unite lives and families. I am still having daydreams about it. I also can't help but smile and giggle every time I think of how the girls were just doing their own thing up there during the ceremony. I cant wait for you two to see those pictures when I deliver your full gallery. I wish you two nothing but happiness and love. You deserve it. And I cannot wait to see pictures of the baby when he makes his arrival.

Xoxo Desiree
