These two love birds were a dream to work with! I surprised them, during our initial meeting, with a complimentary engagement session and I am so happy they said yes! I cannot wait for their wedding day! I love having these initial meetings with my brides and grooms because it is one of the best ways for us to get to know each other. This is where I get to know all about your love story and all of the fun things you have planned for your big day. It is also a great way for me to walk you through what a typical wedding day with me looks like. It gives us all a chance to decide if we are a good fit for each other. For example, I LOVE details, things like the rings, ceremony and reception displays, flowers, jewelry and all of the little things that you spend so much time selecting. I also love ceremony coverage and that is why I always bring a second shooter to all of my weddings. Not one second of the ceremony will go undocumented from the isle moment to the vows, to all of your most dearest loved ones in the front row all way to the first kiss and walk. During this meeting I am able to share with you what I am about and how I will serve you on your big day. I may not be the right fit for everyone and that is okay, that is what these meetings are for. I always put people before my wallet and sometimes that means that I have to refer brides and grooms to another great photographer that I know will be able to serve them with as much love and attention as me but has a different photography style.  

These meetings also allow me to surprise my brides and grooms with a complimentary engagement session! The complimentary engagement session plays such an important role in how I serve my bride and groom. At the session we get to know each other even better. We get another chance to hang out face to face. You get to see how it will look and feel in front of my camera before your wedding day and hopefully that helps with nerves. A lot of the times, the engagement session is the first time my clients have been in front of my camera or anyone's camera for that matter and getting a little practice in before the big day never hurts.  

Now back to Kailee and Josh. I absolutely LOVE that Kailee wore a dress. I am a big fan of twirling photos, and I was so excited when I saw her in a dress that I had to express it to her! Dresses elevate your photos from ordinary to romantic and dreamy. And I am all about romantic and dreamy. The colors they wore fit in perfectly with the beautiful colors of the surrounding mountains and trees. I just can't get enough of it. Besides the great outfit choices, Kailee and Josh were the most joyful and fun couple. I had so much fun with them. I am even more excited now for their wedding than I was before this session. I cannot wait to be a third wheel and capture their big day. If it's half as much fun as this session, then I am in for a wonderful treat.
