Halie and Bryon’s wedding was beautiful! They had so many unique moments during their special day. From Bryon’s Celtic attire, the ceremonial vows, to this amazingly sentimental stick… Don’t worry, we’ll get to that story. It was such a special and custom day for these two that not only celebrated their love for one another but also honored their unique personality’s and how they honor that uniqueness in one another.

They had this beautiful stick as part of a ribbon binding during their ceremony. Through the years this stick has become an artifact of their relationship. Halie visited Bryon in Melita right before he embarked on a 4-week scout camp. There was a strict rule there allowing no physical contact but Halie and Bryon wanted to hold hands so they found this stick and carried it side by side. How cute is that? It was only natural that this stick had a very special place in their ceremony and hearts.

Now, throughout the day we didn’t know if we were going to be inside or outside due to the rain forecast and its ever-changing ways but when it came down to it they were able to have their ceremony outdoors and we even got to do all of their formals outside. I remember after dinner, I checked the radar because it was poring and we had a huge lightning storm right above us. It looked like rain for the rest of the evening. I talked with Halie and Bryon and said that we may not be able to do their husband and wife sunset portraits outside if it was still pouring. But the rain had stopped and we rearranged the timeline and got outside and made it happen. I am so happy we did because as we were walking to this beautiful field we noticed the sky start to gain its color back and it turned out to be such a beautiful and fun experience. We had family and friends cheering them on from the barn inside and these two are just so in love it wasn’t hard to capture the romance.

You were so joyful and peaceful and such a breath of fresh air during your wedding day! I am so honored to have been there to capture and witness the day for you two. You have such confidence and respect for each other. You truly are a great team and I cannot wait to see where this new journey takes you guys. Thank you for allowing me and my team to invade your personal space all day and for being so kindhearted to us.
