There's something incredibly special about photographing weddings. It's not just about capturing moments; it's about telling a love story that will be cherished for a lifetime. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing the beautiful wedding of Ali + Josh at the enchanting Kleffner. From start to finish, the day was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
The day began with the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready in a flurry of excitement. Despite the bridal preparations running a bit late, the atmosphere in the suite remained calm and filled with joy. Ali looked stunning in her gown, and her serene confidence set the perfect tone for the day. Meanwhile, my second shooter captured the groom and his groomsmen in their element, playing pool and engaging in traditional and fun poses outside. She mentioned they were a bit shy, but their camaraderie shone through in the photos.
Ali and Josh chose to have a first look before the ceremony, and the joy on their faces was palpable. They were full of smiles, and the love between them was evident in every glance and touch. As they walked down the aisle as husband and wife, their guests showered them with bubbles, creating a whimsical and enchanting atmosphere that was a delight to capture.
One of the highlights of the day was the couple’s first dance. It was a beautiful blend of fun and romance, perfectly showcasing their personalities and the love they share. During the reception, the speeches delivered by the best man and maid of honor had everyone in stitches. They shared some hilariousstories about the bride, adding a lighthearted and personal touch to the celebration.
Throughout the day, I aimed to incorporate some of the poses we had used during their engagement session, ensuring a sense of continuity and familiarity in the photos. Additionally, I included some unique shots that the couple specifically requested, such as the playful photo of them doing a lunge together – a fun tradition they uphold every time they travel.
The day was a whirlwind of activity and keeping up with the timeline, but what stood out to me was the warmth and helpfulness of everyone involved. The kindness and cooperation of the guests and wedding party made it a truly memorable experience.
